Judge's nude photos ordered returned

Judge's nude photos ordered returned - A provincial court judge has ordered a Winnipeg man to return sexually explicit pictures of a prominent Manitoba judge to her husband. [CBC Canada]

It seems to me that Mr Chapman has just poked his head into a hornets' nest.

His divorce lawyer sent him pornographic photos of his (the lawyer's) wife and tried to hook up Mr Chapman with the lawyer's wife.

He signed a contract specifying that he would 1) destroy all evidence; 2) not speak of the incident(s); 3) not sue in future.

In compensation, he was paid $25,000.

Mr Chapman has clearly broken that by speaking about what happened, by providing copies to the media, and by suing lawyer, wife, and their (former) employer for $67,000,000.

First thought is, yeah, good luck with that.

He's already being sued for return of the $25,000 (plus interest no doubt).

And, since the wife is now a judge, and has had to step aside pending investigation, has had all this in the national news.

It shouldn't be hard to imagine that he'll end up owing them money. Hope you've thought of that, Mr Chapman!

Another thought.

Mr Chapman has accused (judge? lawyer? law firm?) of interfering with his civil suit against the Winnipeg Police Force.

If, in his suit, his case was presided over by the Judge in question, and she didn't recuse herself to avoid embarrassment, and Mr Chapman didn't speak up thinking her desire to have sex with him would help his case, and he's now unhappy with the outcome of that case, ...

Well it's pure speculation, of course, but could be why he's now suing for big money: he found out she's a judge.

But really, $67,000,000 is far more than the compensation that an innocent man who has spent over 2 decades in prison would receive.
