Duffy Lake Rd
Rock carving by "Campbell" at Blowdown Creek, along Duffy Lake Rd, east of Duffy Lake.
Carved rock
Face carved into rock at Blowdown Creek.
Veggies being watered by a mist
Judy's shot of the veggies in the morning sun with a spray from the hose.
Amaryllis
Judy's amaryllis is finally blooming
Lillies
Finally a good pic of casablanca and oriental lillies
Cherry tomatoes
This was from a 69¢ seedling.
They've been very sweet & tasty cherry tomatoes despite the miserable summer of 2011.
Sunflower, night shot
A sunflower illuminated with flash, leaving wonderfully BLACK sky as backdrop.
(What, did you think sunflowers went somewhere at night? I have now proven they don't.)
Lillies and stocks
There are a few baby's breath and some daisies too (which didn't flower).
The stocks weren't as fragrant as hoped, but the lillies are!
Hawk
Every once in a while we hear the birds squawk and take off, then a bird just like this one flies over and lands in a neighbour's tree.
I spotted it on the fence, Judy grabbed the camera, and she got this picture. A cooper hawk, according to pic's we found on the internet.
I've really become a bird-watcher living at this house.
