I call it "Momma Coon" because I saw a pair of babies sleeping in a tree out front this summer. They used to come around separately from this one, but now it's just this one that visits. I assume this is the mother, so Momma Coon is its name...

Poor Chai had a couple cysts remove and had to wear a cone for a week. Her incisions should be visible at the top of the photo. It's so hard to get a decent picture of a black dog with a camera phone - they turn out as featureless black blobs most of the time. I'm especially happy with this one. Oh, and she's currently my favourite dog - we're buddies.
