These are squash or pumpkin that sprouted from the compost buried in the veggie patch over the winter of 2009.

Tomatoes - there are only two plants there and they nearly didn't make it: Judy bought 2 seedlings and the bugs and/or birds promptly ate the growth tips, leaving them all of 10" high 2 months later.
