Lillies and stocks

There are a few baby's breath and some daisies too (which didn't flower). The stocks weren't as fragrant as hoped, but the lillies are!

Hawk

Every once in a while we hear the birds squawk and take off, then a bird just like this one flies over and lands in a neighbour's tree. I spotted it on the fence, Judy grabbed the camera, and she got this picture. A cooper hawk, according to pic's we found on the internet. I've really become a bird-watcher living at this house.

Raspberries

Our first year growing raspberries. We were given 6 plants by our neighbour Rick, and 3 or 4 of them have berries. One or two didn't survive.

Sunflower

planted a package plus some old seeds Judy had saved. This is the only one to survive and it took a lot of transplanting to save it. It had an enormous head and "neck" on it.

Bell peppers

Our first time having bell peppers grow & ripen. Sweet, crispy, and juicy! Considering the lousy summer of 2011, it's remarkable.
